This past year, Wesley and Makenzie were able to participate in our church's Lads to Leaders program. Wesley participated in the song leading class and Makenzie took part in the Song of Praise class. At convention, over Easter weekend, they both got the chance to lead their song to a group of people. Wesley was also on a Bible Bowl team with 3 other kids who have studied the books of James and 1 &2 Peter for 8 months. After a TON of studying, hard work and prep, they were ready for the "BIG" test at convention. Their team was in the TOP 8 of the elementary Bible Bowl teams at convention who took the oral test. In February, the Bible Bowl participants took a 100 question multiple choice test over James and 1 & 2 Peter. At convention we were thrilled to find out Wesley and 2 others on his team were one of the Top 10 HIGHEST SCORERS on the written test! We were SO excited for them, especially since they worked SO hard!
Overall, we had so much fun and the kids can NOT wait to go again next year! We are so thankful to have the Lads to Leaders program at our church and for the kids to have something to be involved in that they love!
