This week was party week for the elementary at MCS. Makenzie had her party on Tuesday. They went to Planet Gymnastics and had a luau for lunch. The kids loved dressing up an playing limbo.
Wesley's party was Friday. The morning started with all the 1st graders writing one thing that they loved about 1st grade on their balloon. Then they all walked outside and released the balloons to signify them moving on up to the "big kid building". VERY sad for all of us parents as we stood there snapping pictures watching our kids get excited about growing up and releasing their "little kid" years and moving on to the big kid years.
After all the balloons were released it was party time! Off we went to the Leopards Den to paint MCS leopards. Paint n Pals came and set up at school and they guided them through painting. All the paintings turned out great. All the kids were so proud of their paintings. Then the kids presented Mrs. Gina and Ms. Hannah with their presents. They LOVED them! They were presented with a canvas painting of all the kids handprints. Lots of tears were shed and hugs were passed out. Along with a "group hug" for Mrs Gina.
We have had 2 awesome teachers this year! There are no words to express the appreciation I have for these ladies who have taught, loved, hugged and cared for my babies this year. I am and will be forever grateful. Thank you Mrs Lisa and Mrs Gina!
