On Feb.2, 2005, I checked into Springhill Hospital to begin the biggest responsibility of mine and Glen's life. After an entire night and day, after multiple drugs and pain medication, after off the wall PAINFUL contractions and a C-section, Wesley Allen Hall came into our lives. Weighing 7 lbs and 8 oz. and 21 inches long, our perfect little baby had finally made it. We were SO excited to finally meet our little bundle of joy. Of course, there was the sleepless nights, the constant crying, the CONSTANT spitting up ( we soon came to find out he had BAD reflux) and the bad diapers that came with parenthood. Even though there was all of those things, there was also the smiles, the little eyes that look into yours as you hold his little body and cuddle him. There was the laughs and the 500 million verses of "Jesus Loves Me" which was the only thing that would get him to sleep. As he grew, there was his first steps and hearing "mama and dada" for the first time. Watching him meet his baby sister for the first time and teaching him all about the Bible. Now, 7 years later, we are watching our little baby go from baby to toddler to kid. His sweet smile and sincere love for his friends makes me smile everyday. We love to see his passion and excitement for the Bible come out. Now at age 7, Wesley is in 1st grade. He is loving being able to explore the world of reading and challenging himself with Math problems. This week, he will be portraying President Abraham Lincoln in the first grade "Famous Americans Program". Watching him prepare for this role has really made me realize how fast the past 3 years have gone by. When he started at MCS in K4 he was learning to write his name and now he is trying to write it in cursive. Next year, he will be going "to the other side" (Upper Elementary) where the 2nd-5th grade classes are. That is going to be a HUGE adjustment for me but I am not going to think about that anymore till August! :)
Last weekend we celebrated Wesley's life with his 7th birthday party. Here are a few pictures from his fun-filled weekend! Happy Birthday Wesley!
