Family Putt Putt w/ Aunt Abby

I LOVE it when my youngest sister, Abby, comes and stays with us. I know that she could care less if she saw me or Glen as long as she gets to see the kids! :) We have been demoted on the totem pole! When she comes to stay for a few days I feel like I have a built in babysitter! The kids absolutely LOVE their Aunt Abby!!! Now that she has been off to college for 2 years they love the time they get to spend with her even more! They are constantly telling us that they are going to go to college with Aunt Abby and what they are going to do there! They are always asking about her and what she is doing. This past week Abby came and stayed with us and it was wonderful! We had so much fun going to the beach (twice!), swimming, shopping and playing putt putt! I love the sister time that I get to have with her too. The one on one time is priceless! It is something that you can never get back! This Thursday morning, she will be getting on a plane and traveling to Africa to full fill an internship for 6 weeks. This is something that she has longed to take part of. After she graduates she hopes to move to another country to spread the Word. It is hard for me, as a Big sister and the Mommy in me, to not be selfish and not want her to go. I hate to think that there could be a time where I or the kids might not see her for over a year! But I have to remind myself why she is wanting to go and the sacrifice she will be making. If you ask Wesley or Makenzie where Aunt Abby is going this summer they will tell you "the jungle to talk about Jesus!" I ask that you pray for her to have safe travels and to be able to have a productive summer spreading the news about Jesus- IN THE JUNGLE! :)
