The first 2 weeks....

We, meaning all 4 of us, have survived our first 2 weeks of school!!! YEAH! The kids are absolutely LOVING their classes, friends and teachers! Everyday they are coming home with a new song or something new that they learned that day. A couple of the "BIG" things that they have learned so far are The Pledge of Allegiance (makenzie says 'AMEN!' at the end for some reason!), the songs "Where is Thumpkin", "Tim the Tiny Turtle", and "The Creation Song" and Wesley is writing his name! He is SOOOOO proud of himself as he writes each letter! He is also learning about patterns, the weather, and how to write lower case letters. They are enjoying having PE everyday, getting to have chapel, learning Spanish once a week, playing instruments in Music class and going to the Library. It is nice coming home and they are WIPED OUT, too! It makes our evenings actually easier because they WANT to go to bed! :)
Since I am working there I get to see them all day long. This has been GREAT! I love being able to peek in their classrooms and observe what they are doing and watch them interact with their teachers and classmates. I also get to attend chapel with them and visit them at snack and lunch. This job has truly been an answered prayer! We are counting our blessings daily and thanking God for blessing me with this awesome opportunity!
The past 2 weeks have been wonderful and they have also caused us to adjust to a new schedule. The kids and I are not use to getting up before 6am every day, eating early breakfast's,wearing uniforms and going to bed at 7:30pm every night! i think after the past 2 weeks we are finally getting into a good routine. I think my body is finally adjusting to a 5:45am alarm! :)
A have to share with you a few funny things that have happened over the past 2 weeks. Wesley has KISSED a little girl in his class smack dab on the lips! Of course Glen was proud of him but we still had to get on to him for kissing! He is only 4! I can't imagine what is going to happen by the time he is 14! :)
Makenize asked her daddy to be her "show-n-tell" last week! It was SOOO cute when she asked him! He wasn't able to go due to his job but he told her that he would try to come another time. There hasn't been a dull moment in the past 2 weeks and I don't expect anything to change over the next 9 months! :)
