This past weekend we took a mini vacation up to Tennessee to see some good friends of ours, The Butts.  We try to get together at least once a year, but due to illness's, surgeries and births, we haven't seen each other in 3 years!  It was GREAT catching up and watching the kids play and use their imaginations.  It was neat seeing everyone and meeting their new addition, Caroline (she will be 2 in August).  Their two oldest boys are the same age as our two kids.  So Wesley and Conner hit it off right away when Wesley realized that Conner is into Star Wars and Legos as he is.  They were inseparable! :) Makenzie and Chandler are a few months apart but they played great. I guess because their personalities are very much the same. Then there is sweet little Caroline.  She instantly won my heart! It took her a little while to warm up to Glen.  He did eventually win her over when he let her play on my phone. She was hooked!   It was great spending a few "down days" catching up, hanging out, creek fishing and visiting with "old" friends.  We hope that we can keep up the "yearly" visits and thankfully for Facebook, we are able to stay in touch.

We stopped at the Alabama Welcome Center on the way home so the kids could see this rocket.  If you look close, you can see them standing at the base.

Even though it doesn't look like it, they were pretty excited about seeing this Rocket.
