Today is my last day of summer vacation. Kinda sad and depressing. I will say that I do believe that this has been the fastest summer ever! We have had a fun summer, though! We have had lots of adventures, travels, and visits with family. June was full of pool time with friends, sleepovers, visits from family, and VBS. As July approached, Glen and I got ready to go to Hawaii for our 8 yr. anniversary. My parents and Katy Chaffin were so wonderful to keep the kids for the entire week we were gone. We had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying our time together for a few non-kids days. Since we have been back, the month of July has been busy with a trip to Chattanooga, a back to school shopping, a day trip to Pensacola, and of course more pool fun! :)
So as the summer is quickly coming to an end, we are preparing for a new school year. Wesley will be starting Kindergarten! He is become very interested in math(adding and subtracting), science ( the way things work and the world around us), and reading. Last night HE read to US the Bible bedtime story! He surprised us with how much he could actually read! I know that the normal tears will come on the first day of school, but I am preparing myself now. Makenzie will be starting K4 and is VERY excited to start a new year. She is excited about all the field trips, bring Silent Sammy and Clifford home, and being in Mommy's building! :)
This is sure to be a fun, interesting, and exciting year! I will try to keep the blog updated as new things happen through the year.
