Sun + Sand = Vacation Part 2

After a VERY relaxing week at Sandestin we are back to reality.  In Glen's words, "you know it is a relaxing vacation when the only decision you have to make when you get up is shorts or a swimsuit!"  The kids had a blast, too. They asked us on our last day if we could move there!  We stayed at Club Intrawest where the amenities were abundant! There was a FREE movie theater at the condo. FREE DVD rentals, FREE beach umbrellas and chairs, FREE canoe/kayaks, FREE bicycles, and the list goes on!  The resort was very family friendly. If you were not walking somewhere, then you were taking a golf cart or a bike. There was The Village at Baytown Wharf that was a 5-10 min walk from our place. The Wharf reminded me of something out of a book or movie. The decor/ architecture of the buildings was similar to New Orleans French Quarter. There were lots of little shops, restaurants, and TONS of family activities ( LIFE size checkers, ropes course, hamster balls, zip line, and bungee jumping- just to name a few).
When we asked the kids what the #1 favorite thing that we did on vacation, here were their answers :  Wesley- our pirate adventure/hike on Jolee Island
Makenzie- taking a bike ride with her daddy & swimming at the pool
So, with that being said, I would have to say Hall summer vacation 2011 was a true success! It was relaxing AND fun!
Building a sand castle with daddy.

Always a fun time on the beach!
